I credit this quote to a great friend of mine whom I respect deeply he stated, “your value is determined by whom you’re using a measuring stick.” For example, a car hits the auction belt, and it is valued at 12,890 the very next car had only one difference between the two because they claimed they had proof Elvis had been in that car, so it brought that cars value to 32,900. It’s all about who or what you value.

In the world in which we live now and has been for quite some time this way. Parents push their kids to pursue things that have no eternal value, such as sports or public speaking. The adult world is all about the letters behind your name. Compared to someone else who had no letters behind their name but had amazing talent and on-the-job training. Who do you think was hired?
Ben Fuller states it well in his song Who I Am, I’m a child of the most-high God and the most-high God’s.

For me. That’s all it really boils down to your eternity and if you can honestly say, ‘I’m a child of the most-high God and the most-high God is for me!’ When we can say that and believe that lyric without a shadow of doubt what the world says YOU are worth becomes mute.

What is the value placed on you and me by God? He gave us everything we could have or dream of having, but the fall of man comes into play. God’s perfect Son is sent to take the punishment for sins, without any wrongdoing. He was blameless and executed for us all, not just for Himself. God’s message is that we are worth dying for. He not only created us from the dust, but also made everything that makes us alive and breathing, human beings’ souls and all. Then He sends His one and only Son in our place to die for us. We are worth creating and dying for!
