It’s amazing how modesty has evolved over the years! What I see people wear is not something I would personally take to goodwill. If I had knowledge, I could use some of the clothing to make a quilt, but I wouldn’t wear it.
I don’t believe personally that people truly appreciate the temple that God created us to be. In today’s age, there is no discussion about it. Another point I want to make is that they are known as private body parts for various reasons, but they are unfortunately not taught to children in today’s day and age. Do parents truly understand the message their children are sending through their attire or the actions they take towards their children and teens, such as wearing inappropriate clothing or not wearing it? It suggests that they are interested in engaging in intercourse or, at the very least, displaying naked photographs of men they are interested in.
In 1 Corinthians 6:19, the Bible expresses plainly that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit that you have received from God. You are not your own. Respect the body that was given to you! This dates to the beginning of the fall of man in Genesis when Adam and Eve saw they were naked, and God upgraded the fig leaves with the first blood shed of an animal’s hide to provide better clothing for Adam and Eve.
Nonbelievers and gentlemen may not like to see women or men of the opposite sex. They may also be disappointed that they think a woman or man who dresses in society is beautiful or handsome.
It’s important to be self-aware about what we allow our children, teens, and young adults to consider when presenting ourselves to society. Be modest! God may have blessed you with a wonderful personality and body. In all honesty, dressing appropriately will result in better treatment. Your personality is wonderful, and your body is more appealing than someone who dresses poorly but has a wonderful body.
The key is to protect your body, communicate effectively with others, and keep what is intended for your spouse’s eyes private. Modesty and your inner beauty are what truly make you truly beautiful.
