Wait let’s stop right here and be completely honest with yourself would you truly do it or would you spend it on yourself or invest it to other ways that could earn you more money in the later years?

What would be your intentions if you did put your money on someone else outside of your friends or a random stranger that needs the money for further treatments. Would you do it so you can get all the glory and recognition of your act of kindness? Do it to earn a relationship to gain a potential relationship with someone? Would you do it because it would make up for a sin you committed?

Let us recall the lady who gave ALL her money to God vs the rich people that only gave a portion of their income. I don’t believe she gave all her money to try and get her money doubled or other expenses paid. She did it out of complete love for Christ that was her motive. Look at the lady that wiped Jesus’s feet with expensive perfume and oils. If you recall or know this story you know that the immediate response from the other people in attendance was “you know you should have sold the perfume and oils for money.

I would also like to bring to your attention that during the days Jesus never took an offering when he traveled, performed miracles, preached, or told parables. When asked which money belonged to God or Caesar? Jesus’ reply was “look at the person on the coin give to Caesar what is Caesar’s and give to God what is God’s.

Let us remember the story of the rich man that had a lot of earthly wealth and possessions God says to the man that he needs to sell ALL his possessions and follow Him.

Remember that it’s, the heart, intention, and giving your all to is taken into account when it comes to money. Remember it wasn’t yours, to begin with…God gave us the money we have and other blessings we don’t deserve why not give all the money back to God? If we were to do this time and time again it’d be a testament of faith, trust, and love to, God. Give God the glory for giving you the money and not, with alternative reasons.

Keep in mind that even the richest person that has a lot of earthly possessions can’t take them to heaven so really why is it so hard to be like the lady that gave ALL her money? Is it because we don’t trust God’s ability to come through for us and make sure our essential items are going to be provided?
I can recall thinking in my head and verbally saying while reading God’s word “you idiots why can’t you see God is going to come through for you?” an is with you right beside you. This is always my thought when it comes to the Egyptians after God freed them from Pharaoh. Just like the Egyptians, we forget that God is walking right beside us too and He has and continues to provide for us. Also keep in mind that anything besides eternal damnation is a blessing from God.

So who are you going to be? The lady who gave all she had? The man with many earthly positions, the lady that put expensive oils on Jesus, the person with alternative motives? Today you need to decide exactly who you’re going to place your trust in. Your motive for giving.

Dear Lord,

Help us to trust in You to provide Abundantly more than we deserve because You love us. Help us Lord to never doubt You. Give us the faith in the Lord that lady who gave everything to Christ. Let us remember that just like You were with the Egyptians You continue to walk beside us and will not leave us without our essentials. Thank You, Lord for providing all we need and more. You will never leave us or forsake us. In Your Name, we pray amen.
