You all know I’ve been sick with various types of things. (Most of them have caused great pain) a song comes to mind. The songs have the following lyrics ”I’ll raise a Hallelujah in the middle of the storm.” Another great song says,” God is the calm in the center of my storm.” it’s easy to say…easy to think you will do. We’ve all thought or even say ”yeah, God has this. If we are sincere, none of these options go these ways. We honestly don’t let these options happen. We try to fix our issues make our own ”calm,” or the last thing we do is praise God for the troubles we face big or small.
I don’t think we will ever perfect praising God in our most significant troubles, which brings me to the scripture in the Bible that states,” Don’t you trust Me to protect you? The disciple’s first response was,” who is this man; even the waves obey Him?” a lack of praise, a lack of trust in God, who calmed the storm. Yet again, we failed to trust God; we were unable to praise Him in the middle of the storm.
I challenge you all to try and raise a hallelujah in the middle of whatever storms God has you facing. Not only praise Him in the storm but to trust that He will be the calm in the center of all life’s storms.
