Contagious? When we hear or read this word our mind’s normal thought is sick and then if it’s you this word applies to…your thought is to stay away from others including family. Being alone and suffering through this illness until you are no longer contagious.
The question God put on my mind is this: is your faith contagious? I remember that one high school teacher had a very contagious smile and an incredible personality on a day-to-day basis. Nothing seemed to phase her or wipe that smile away. When people would want to know her source of happiness came from her response was “my faith and hope in Christ.”
We Christians no matter our different points of view need to have the contagious faith that teacher had and beyond that the kind of faith that attracts fellow believers and unbelievers. Remember the song I have a light I’m going to let it shine? If not I encourage you to look it up. Don’t let life’s circumstances make your faith not contagious or hidden. Be a beaming light of a Christ follower.
Dear God,
Help our faith be contagious and our body language inviting and joyful ready to spread Your word.
Help us not to hide the light You give us every day 365. Thank You for the opportunities You give us to represent You and the hope You give us because You hung on the cross.
In Your Name, I pray.
