The Lord of heaven’s armies knows us on more personal level than even our biological father and Mother. Allow me to give you one several scripture words to back this statement up. The Father (our Maker) knows the exact number of hairs on our head. Luke 12:7.

My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Psalm 139: 15

As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things. Ecclesiastes 11:5

God created us and knew our story from start to finish and loves us anyway.

Furthermore He never slumbers and watches over His children.

His love for us is unfathomable. He is a jealous God.

God knows when we stand or when we sit He watches over our coming and going.

Jesus loves us this we know and believe as Christians and believers alike.

I know I’m not the only person who played professional bench warmer. I’m also certain that I am not the only one who got picked last to play games with fellow classmates.

If you look back in scripture it will reveal to you that God didn’t pick flawless disciples or hang out with earthly kings. God picked the most broken people to be his followers. They certainly wouldn’t pass a background check in today’s world they wouldn’t be picked first over highly qualified clients.

God took the broken and sick people to heal, teach and rebuild to spread His message. To show the world how he can restore people and followers alike to be Godly people. It was easier to follow directions from God on how to be healed than it was to be his disciples.

God said” whoever is last will be first.” He also stated “it’s not the healthy that need a doctor.” What greater physician to heal the sick than the one who created you and loves you enough to die for all our sins and ailments. Keep in mind that God timing is not our timing. Trust, believe, and be patient

God has a purpose for you.

I am always astonished by the people that say “I can’t say for sure or not if I was going to die immediately if I professed with my mouth or actions that I believe in God? I would say “ yes or prove it!

The Bible is clear when it comes to this situation! It states if you deny you know Me before man I will deny knowing you before my Father. With that said “ it makes me believe that those type of people don’t grasp how awful hell is or how short life is on earth also how long eternalness is. Second I don’t believe they under how wonderful heaven is the Maker of heaven has made for `his sheep or how awful hell will be. To me the difference between the two is black and white. 

God is able to do far more to us than mere mortals ever will.  

Wouldn’t you prefer to be dead wrong finding out there is no God then find out you get to spend eternity in hell for denying Christ?

I would personally profess believing in Christ because my relationship with Him is stronger and I don’t fear death. Death has lost it’s sting a long time ago and only lasts but a second. 

Know where your final destination is and stand firm in your faith! Again what can mere mortals do to us?

I remember when I was little, I had a yellow blankie that I took everywhere with me. It ended up torn into pieces until I had one tiny piece left that I kept safe in a toy Oscar the grouch trash can lol. That little blankie was my sense of security in times when I was scared and even times when I may not have needed it. I tried so hard to salvage what was left of that blankie, but despite my efforts it no longer exists. That blankie of mine symbolizes the temporary securities we tend to cling to throughout our lifetime here on earth. Since that time, I have had many kinds of things and people that I tried to cling to in order to have that sense of security. Some of the different things were my Mom, boyfriends, sports, work, alcohol, and T.V. None of them did truly satisfy my need to feel safe and secure. Can you identify the different worldly things you have tried going to for some sense of security?

In my spiritual journey I have come to realize that the one true security I have always had in life whether I was aware or not was, is, and will always be Jesus my Rock. Psalm 18:2 says, “The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.” Jesus is enough and there are times when I succumb to lies that the enemy dangles in front of me, until Jesus brings me back to what I know is true. The best way to be able to tell the difference between truth and lies is to cling tight to Jesus. There are so many distractions in our lives and as you can tell from the ones, I have mentioned previously some can be good things, but not when they become idols. My Mom, for example definitely is something good in my life but in the past, I have looked to her first before turning to God. Another example is work, it can be a great thing because it gives us purpose and helps us survive, and it even allows us to be a light to others we work with, but it can also be a distraction from God if we let it. We can’t forget what it is we are working for and especially not forget Who we are ultimately working for. We as Christians are called to be ambassadors for Christ, to be a light in the darkness, and point others to Jesus.

I have grown to learn that when I lean on Jesus, I am able to handle whatever life throws at me, but the times when I don’t the ground beneath me quickly begins to crumble. Just like it says in Luke 6: 47-49, “Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like: He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock. But he who heard and did nothing is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream beat vehemently; and immediately it fell. And the ruin of that house was great.”

I don’t know about you, but I want the house that can’t be shaken! The following verses remind me that the Lord gives me strength and He can give you strength too:

Psalm 18:28-30 says, “For You, O LORD, light my lamp; my God lights up my darkness. For in You I can charge an army, and with my God I can scale a wall. As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the LORD is flawless. He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him.…”

Psalm 40:2 says, “He lifted me up from the pit of despair, out of the miry clay; He set my feet upon a rock and made my footsteps firm.”

Psalm 18:33 says, “He makes my feet like those of a deer and stations me upon the heights.”

Challenge: Take some time to sit with God and reflect on how often you turn to Him first when seeking answers verses other people or things. If you find yourself seeking other people or things first take some more time to consider how much that approach is working for you. If it isn’t working than are you willing to make a change???

How strong is your trust in the Lord? Why is it so difficult to trust God and His plans for us?
It’s an age-old question. The Israelites NOT trusting God to take care of the people He delivered from slavery and hardship. I have read through the Bible several times and can remember thinking to myself you idiots He didn’t just deliver you from the Pharos grip to NOT take care of you or without a master plan.

Something else that factors into our trust in God’s not going to provide a way to help pay the bills, it’s a gas bill, car payment, or other financial issues. We forgot or overlook the fact that God provides His creation with shelter, food, and protection from predators. From birds to elephants. God tells us “He cares for the birds of the air we are much more valuable to God than the animals He takes care of.”
Who are we that the God of the universe would give a single thought about my insignificant issues? Listen He even knows the number of hairs of each of His children. Since He cares about that detail, we need to trust Him to take care of big, and small issues that we can trust Him to take care of. God cares, He wants to hear from us He loves us past our human comprehension.

Do not let doubt in God overcome you, to convince you that He’s not going to not provide for his creations. He didn’t create us to fight for ourselves and try to solve problems on our own. No, He died for us to pay the price for ALL our sins. He wouldn’t have put His Son on the cross to abandon us and not provide for us. Sometimes He uses drastic measures to get our attention back on Him. It’s repeated numerous times over and over in the Bible do NOT be afraid.

Remember when Jesus was on the boat with His disciples and a storm came up? They awoke Jesus says “aren’t You going to save us?!”Again, it’s easy to just say “stupid disciples don’t you know by now He will protect you from danger? “But yet we still doubt God and His plans for us.

It’s been said before and I will repeat it “fear or doubt is a liar! It’s a lie the devil places in our minds. Fear is a lack of faith in God and a lack of trust in Him.

Dear Lord,
It’s so easy to believe in technology or even a simple chair we trust will serve its purpose. Help our unbelief and deepen our trust, faith, and belief in You and Your plans for our good. Remind us that You have plans to prosper us not harm us. Remind us how many countless times You’ve delivered us from danger or financial distress in the past. Keep reminding us that You care about ALL our problems big or small. Thank You for caring about us so intensely. Lord, we trust You to be our loving and providing Father that You are. In times of distress remind us You are never out of control. I make all these requests in Your Name. Amen

Thank You for all the days You graciously grant us, the chance to tell others about You oh God.
Help us to give You credit when the people we are helping say “I love you because you have touched my soul. No God that wasn’t our doing that was all because of YOU. Thank You Lord for not giving us eternal damnation. Please give us a giving heart, a caring heart, also a vessel You can use. Humility and mercy is requested from You. It’s all because of You. May You Lord get pure adoration and worthy are You God. Worthy of all our praise. You, broke the curse of our sins. the life of heaven getting crowded starts immediately. I’m here Lord use me as a means to bless anyone You place in our seasons of life. I’m making these requests in Your Name. Amen
